Kesk-Eesti Metsa\u00fchistu<\/h1>\n\n\n\n
<\/div>\n\n\n\n

Kesk-Eesti Metsa\u00fchistu, formerly known as Vooremaa Metsa\u00fchistu, is one of the youngest forest associations in Estonia, established in 2012. Over the years, it has grown into a medium-sized cooperative, with over 800 forest owners as members. The Vooremaa Metsa\u00fchistu was founded by its chairman, Harry P\u00fctsepp, who, after working as a consultant for RMK and several associations, saw the need to create an independent forest owners association in the region.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It was the Vooremaa Metsa\u00fchistu that was the first to start drawing up forest management plans. It is important for the association that a forest owner be able to contact the association as easily as possible, which is why an office was also opened in Tartu.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In October 2024, the association adopted the name Kesk-Eesti Metsa\u00fchistu to better reflect its expanded area of operation.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

Membership in Kesk-Eesti Metsa\u00fchistu grows each year<\/h2>\n\t \n\t
By the end of its first year of operation, the first 30 forest owners had joined the Kesk-Eesti Metsa\u00fchistu. The following year, the membership experienced a big jump and by the end of the second year, the number of forest owners had grown to over 200. To date, nearly 800 smaller and larger private forest owners have joined our ranks.<\/div>\n\t \n

Since 16.10.2013, the Central Cooperative of Private Forests has been managing the FSC forest certification.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The FSC certificate ensures that raw materials are separated from non-certified and uncontrolled forest material throughout the supply chain, making it possible to determine the origin of the material and trace it to the final product.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n
